Plot Outline
Cannibal! The Musical is a black, tongue-in-cheek comedy-musical about fortune and failure, love and betrayal, the pursuit of happiness and the terror of death. Based on a true story, it tells the tale of Alferd Packer, and how he came to be the first man to be convicted of cannibalism in America. Waiting for his sentencing, he tells Denver Post reporter Polly Pry what really happened when he led a group of fortune-seeking miners through the Colorado mountains during the harsh winter of 1873.
